FRACTIONAL CFO SERVICES
Financial leadership for business owners who have outgrown guesswork

Takes about two minutes. If your answers suggest a fit, we'll email you a private link to book the next step.

Your CFO stays in the room for every engagement, with a controller and staff accountant behind them.

Five signs it is time for a CFO
If any of these sound familiar, this may be for you.
Cash still surprises you
Revenue looks healthy, but cash still surprises you.
Profit by job is a guess
You can't say with confidence which jobs make money.
Numbers arrive late
Month-end numbers arrive late, or you do not trust them.
You're the finance team
You are still the bookkeeper, controller, CFO, and collections manager.
Going off your "gut"
Decisions get made on instinct and last quarter's reports - nothing is clear for the team.
Clean books are the foundation. A CFO builds on them.
YOUR BOOKKEEPER
Keeps your records clean and current
Transactions categorized, months closed on time, statements ready when you need them.
YOUR HARBOR CREEK CFO
Reads those numbers and helps you decide what to do next
A rolling cash forecast, a monthly reporting pack, job economics, and scheduled meetings, so you see problems early and decide with current numbers.
Two levels of support, sized to where the business is
We start with a diagnosis, not a proposal. Before we recommend any ongoing service, we look at your books, your cash, and the economics of your work. Then we run your finance function on a fixed rhythm.

Your full attention
You get our full attention. CFO judgment sits apart from day-to-day accounting work. You're always top of mind.

Who this is for, and who it is not
A good fit
✓ Owner-operated business based in North Carolina
✓ $2 million or more in annual revenue
✓ Project- or job-based work, or work where profit by job matters
✓ An owner who wants analysis and decisions, not only completed books
Below $2 million? You can still complete the form. A partner reviews every answer.
Probably not a fit
✕ You mainly need personal tax preparation
✕ You need a one-time filing or task, not ongoing support
Need tax or bookkeeping instead? See our Tax and Accounting page.
Questions
How long does it take?
The Financial Diagnostic and Roadmap finishes with written findings and a live presentation within 30 days. Ongoing service runs on a 12-month agreement.
What does it cost to get started?
The consultation is $300 for 60 minutes with our managing partner, paid when you book. If you continue to the Financial Diagnostic and Roadmap, its fee is credited in full toward onboarding.
Where do you work, and how do we meet?
We work with businesses based in North Carolina. Most meetings are virtual. We are glad to meet in person at our Wilmington office.
Do I need to use specific accounting software?
No. We work with the system you use today, and the diagnosis maps how it fits together.
What if my books are behind?
That is common. The diagnosis tells you where they stand. Any cleanup is scoped and agreed separately before work begins.
What exactly is included?
Everything listed in your signed scope. Anything outside it is agreed in writing before we start, so there are no surprise charges.
Do you also handle taxes?
Yes, through our tax division. See our Tax and Accounting page.
